Zone Opening! The City of Txiki Ardi

A small band of men and woman set forth from the City of Medievia in search of adventure and fortune. After many years of blazing trails and slaughtering evil beasts, they decided to start a small community for like-minded people. After a few months of searching they found a wondrous glen and thought it would be a great place to start their city. They named the city after their leader.

Many generations later, their values of heroism, honor, adventure, and cunning had attracted many people to the small glen and it was now a robust little city. The Mayor decided to hold contests to reward those people who were outstanding in the values of cunning and bravery. Others heard of this and came with their own trophies to award. The Mayor proclaimed that those who won the contests would be called Grandors and would receive special prizes called quest points, some would even have special items bestowed upon them for winning the hardest and most
challenging quests.

NOTE:
This zone has currently two special features with more to be added.

1. There is a quest shop located within this zone. This is the one that was moved from the Warrior Quarter of the City of Medievia recently. Certain quests will award participants or winners with special tokens. These tokens can be used to buy special quest items.

2. There is a portal to a linking room that allows players to use a quest key to enter Zone Quests. Currently this is zone 295 and 581. You will purchase a token and then exchange this at the quest shop for the key to the zone you wish to run.

Each zone is designed to be run solo, and they will reset the same as a normal zone when you enter them. This means you check check loads before running so all risk of the getting nothing is on your shoulders. If the game crashes we will consider reimbursements, email reimburse@medievia.com. Each key will last 14 days from purchase.

**** If anyone finds any bugs or ways to abuse the above, contact Selthios immediately. Anyone abusing the system will be dealt with harshly. ****

Congratulations Selthios and Aewen for their first zone! While not a regular xp or eq zone, it does provide small amounts of both. This has been a long, hard project, and Selthios would like to thank Aewen for her patience, because it wouldn't have happened without her. A big thank you to Marisol for her work in editing the rooms, and to Fayla as always for her patience and support. Good work guys!

On a special note. You as players are invited to join in to make comments about the zone. And by that we mean CONSTRUCTIVE comments. Please send any comments you have to wom@medievia.com, which is the WOM distribution list.

Zone Opening! Misty Isle by Ardothica

A page taken from Ergale's memoirs, having recently been discovered in Trellor:

"In my wanderings, I once came across a lake hidden deep in the forest east of Mount Vryce. The locals tended to avoid the lake as much as possible, even though game was plentiful nearby. They feared a strange race of people called syrens. These enchantingly beautiful creatures, all female, were surprisingly cruel.

"The locals believed that the syrens lived on a island at the center of the lake. I could not verify the existence of the island, as the surface of the lake was continually enshrouded by a dense fog.

"Someone who claimed to have been to the island and back stated that the syrens were performing ritual sacrifices at the center of the island. Apparently, their purpose is to feed a bog with the life-force of those they can capture. This, in turn, provides a source of nutrients for special trees that grow on the island. It is believed that the fruit of
these trees is the source of new life for the syrens. In this way, they are able to reproduce without the need of an opposite sex. Strange as this whole idea may sound, no one has ever seen a male syren."

Suggested Levels:

Solo: 21-31
Small Group: 18-25
Large Group: 15-21
================
Number of Rooms: 116
===============
PK type: LPK & NPK

Ardothica has added yet another excellent zone to the landscape of Medievia. Thanks go to Fayla for her excellent coding of the procs in this zone and to Miatrylle for being the WRE in charge of the zone. This was my first zone to "wom" and I'd like to thank the A-team for their assistance and patience.
